Our extra-curricular highlights
Debating and public speaking
Our Debating and Public Speaking programs provide students with opportunities to develop confidence, critical thinking and effective communication skills.
Students engage in structured debates, public speaking competitions and workshops that challenge them to express ideas clearly, listen actively and think creatively. Participation extends beyond the classroom, with opportunities to represent the school in local, regional and state competitions.
Through these experiences, students build self-assurance, leadership skills and a capacity to engage thoughtfully with their peers and the wider community.
Creative and performing arts
The Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) faculty provides students with rich opportunities to develop their creativity, confidence and collaboration skills through Visual Arts, Music, Drama and Dance.
Our specialist teachers inspire students to think creatively and express themselves in meaningful ways, both in the classroom and through co-curricular programs. Performances, exhibitions and productions showcase student talent and contribute to a vibrant school culture that values creativity, inclusion and personal growth.
Through active participation in the arts, students build confidence, connect with others and develop skills that support success across all areas of learning.
Camps and excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. Camps and excursions provide engaging opportunities to extend learning beyond the classroom while developing independence, resilience and social skills.
Students participate in a variety of experiences, from educational day trips and cultural excursions to multi-day camps that foster teamwork, leadership and personal growth. These activities encourage students to connect with peers, explore new environments and see how their learning connects to the world.
Through participation in camps and excursions, students build confidence, develop life skills and create lasting memories that enrich their school experience.
Student Representative Council
The Student Representative Council (SRC) provides students with meaningful opportunities to develop leadership, communication and teamwork skills while contributing positively to our school community.
Elected student leaders represent their peers, share ideas and help shape initiatives that enhance school life and promote student voice. The SRC works collaboratively with staff and the wider community to support events, fundraisers and projects that reflect our school’s values and spirit.
Through active participation in the SRC, students build confidence, strengthen their sense of responsibility and make a genuine difference within their school.
Sport representation
The Sport program provides students with opportunities to develop teamwork, resilience and a commitment to personal excellence.
Students participate in a variety of activities through weekly sport, school carnivals and inter-school competitions that promote wellbeing, school spirit and inclusion. Those seeking higher-level opportunities can represent our school through NSW Public Schools representative sport pathways, competing at zone, regional and state levels.
Through active participation, students build confidence, develop leadership skills and foster a lifelong appreciation for physical activity and healthy living.
Social Justice Committee
The Social Justice Committee empowers students to take an active role in promoting fairness, inclusion and positive change within the school and wider community. Members meet weekly to discuss social issues, collaborate on initiatives and plan fundraising projects, including support for our sponsor children in Zambia and Burundi. The committee also organises an annual food drive, encouraging students to donate and support those in need within our local community.
Through participation, students develop leadership, teamwork, empathy and confidence, while making a meaningful difference and helping shape a more inclusive and compassionate school culture.
